Starting Saturday, May 1, the Kingsburg Historical Park will re-open to the public for self-guided tours from 9 am to 1 pm. On the Saturday of Kingsburg Swedish Days, May 15, the park will be open from 11 am – 2 pm. Located at 2321 Sierra Street, just east of the high school, the Historical Park is truly a “hidden gem” of Kingsburg, with thousands of artifacts telling the story of Kingsburg and the immediate surrounding area. For over 50 years, the Kingsburg Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has been “Preserving Kingsburg’s Unique History for Future Generations.” Pick up coffee and a sweet treat at Bella Bakery or Kuppa Joy in downtown Kingsburg on a Saturday morning, take your goodies to the Historical Park and enjoy a “fika” in the beauty and serenity of the Historical Park while soaking up a bit of local history.
