By Rich Bailey It has a crumbling infrastructure. Its water system, once something to envy, is being dismantled. Ditto schools. It has the highest poverty rate in the nation. Based on rate of incarceration, California looks like the Alabama of 1870. California leads the nation income disparity. It’s economy features exploiting non-citizens through human labor trafficking, offshoring jobs and wage suppression. Voters no longer rely on free and uncorrupted elections. California is the home of a new feudalism featuring oligarchs, a large group of exploited people in abject poverty, and not much in between. California corruption damages working people. Democrats work for corporate donors looking for cheap labor, not Californians. Democrats try to paper over an old boy system with empty virtue signaling and woke platitudes. California’s political culture of exploitation is not attractive. But, it’s vulnerable. Working people are leaving. The ones who stay join the rest of the county in the desire to realize the American Dream. But, just as in the Old South, this system is being defended. In the coming months, Republicans will advocate for something simple. California needs to be brought into the 21st century. Democrats have made a mess. Time for a fix based…
